Moville Community Signage Planning

Moville, Iowa

Moville, Iowa is a small commuter community outside of Sioux City. As part of the Iowa's Living Roadways Community Visoinig Program, JBC provided conceptual wayfinding signage planning and design for the town of Moville. The primary objective was to establish community identity by highlighting businesses and community amenities with vehicular and pedestrian signage.

The wayfinding signage design was built up from Moville's biggest attraction. The largest event of the year in Moville is the Fair Days celebration. A blue ribbon became a great theme to focus the community's idenity on.

Keeping in mind the plans for future trail developments, directional wayfinding signage needs to be in a variety of forms from pedestrian, bike, and vehicular forms.
