Mary Christopher Park Master Plan

Driven by a commitment to fostering community connectivity, JBC Landscape Architects spearheaded the master planning process for Mary Christopher Park, transforming it into a high-performance civic destination. At the heart of the plan is a newly envisioned Veterans Memorial Plaza, featuring a stone seat wall that serves as a dignified centerpiece for reflection and social gathering.

Central to the project is the integration of universal accessibility and intergenerational play, utilizing inclusive playground equipment and seamless circulation routes that cater to a wide range of age groups and physical abilities. JBC Landscape Architects designed the site’s natural systems to work in concert with these new amenities, incorporating strategic native plantings that function as both a structural windbreak and a resilient ecological backdrop. The park also includes thoughtful amenities like restroom facilities and a 30' x 15' group shelter to deliver a vibrant, sustainable community asset.
