Great Harbour Beach Club
Berry Islands, Bahamas
The Great Harbour Beach Club is a proposed eco-conscious luxury resort located on approximately five and a half acres on Great Harbour Cay in the Berry Islands, Bahamas. Situated directly across from the Great Harbour Cay-Bullock Harbour Airport, the development is envisioned as both a gateway to the broader Bahamas and a unique destination showcasing the natural beauty of the local beaches. The core purpose of the project is to provide a premier holiday experience that seamlessly blends high-end luxury with strict environmental awareness. By offering new accommodations and public amenities, the club aims to enhance the character of Great Harbour Cay while directly benefiting both visiting guests and the local community.
To achieve these goals, the project will be executed in two main phases, ultimately resulting in 20 guest suites alongside shared facilities like a new restaurant, bar, and pool. The development strategy prioritizes low-density, clustered footprint designs and sustainable building materials engineered to withstand harsh weather conditions like hurricanes and storm surges. A primary environmental objective is to minimize ecological disruption by removing the least amount of natural vegetation possible for the planned infrastructure. The project also emphasizes local economic integration by planning to hire Bahamian contractors and professionals, ensuring the local community participates in and benefits from the property's development and long-term operation. Phase 1 of the project is scheduled for completion in Spring 2027.
