Decorah, Iowa is a unique, small-town community filled with small shops along Water Street, amenities for those who love the outdoors, and great food and drink for both residents and visitors.

Current wayfinding signs are inconsistent, so the design process focused on finding a style the community could proudly show on their roads and trails before creating entire families of signs. These signs will be displayed on street lights, trailheads, roadsides and sidewalks, so elements must be easily repeated in a variety of sizes.
