JBC Landscape Architects served as the principal field planning and design consultant for the Olathe School District’s College Boulevard Athletic Complex, a comprehensive multi-sport facility. The complex features a football stadium and competition and practice venues for soccer, baseball, and softball, creating a cohesive athletic destination to support both student athletics and community events.

Working in close collaboration with the Olathe School District and contractors, JBC provided technical leadership throughout design, construction, and the field “grow-in” phases. The firm’s expertise in athletic field engineering guided the development of both native soil and sand-based high-performance systems to ensure long-term durability, optimal playability, and efficient maintenance.

Through careful coordination of field design and construction, JBC helped the district create a high-quality, multi-purpose athletic environment that balances aesthetics, functionality, and performance. Strategically located on College Boulevard east of Kansas Highway 7, the Olathe College Boulevard Athletic Complex continues to serve as a benchmark for modern athletic facility design, combining technical precision with community-centered design principles.
