In
1998, JBC was selected to develop a playing field turf feasibility study for
the new Cincinnati Bengals stadium and practice facility. The practice facility
consists of two natural grass fields and one artificial turf football practice
field along with associated drill areas and a maintenance complex. The focus
of the study was the evaluation of various high-performance turf technologies
and recommendations for the design and construction of state of-the-art-natural
turf athletic surfaces. The stadium field includes leading technologies such
as hydronic field heating, surface stabilization, forced air subdrainage systems,
and remote environmental monitoring.
